Quickie Cookies
Just a quickie post here since I'm not feeling too well (nothing major, I'll be fine by tomorrow), but these Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies from VWAV cookies so good they can hold you over until the next one! I was in the mood for cookies one day and I didn't have many of the ingredients in some other recipes I was looking at, but I guess that was a blessing in disguise because it caused me to try this recipe and boy, were they good! I filled half of the batch with apricot jelly and the other half with blackberry preserves to use up some of the many jars of jelly we had in the fridge and both flavors were delicious and really complimented the chocolatey almond cookie dough. My only complaint is that the dough got really messy and difficult to work with when I was rollign it into balls, so I think I may try flouring my hands next time instead of wetting them. If any of you have tried this recipe and have any tricks to working with this dough, please let me know! Well, that's all I have for now, but I already have a few more goodies planned for the next post :)

Those cookies look PHENOMENAL!! Yum. I haven't tried that recipe yet, so unfortunately I can't offer any tips about the dough :0( Maybe use less liquid?
Feel better soon!!
hope you're feeling better already! :) y
our chocolate thumbprint cookies look divine! i want one to put in my face! mmmmmm!
Thumbprint cookies are so much fun! I love biting that gooey dollop of jam or what have you in the center. With these awesome treats, I'm sure it would be hard to feel crappy for too long! :)
I hope you're feeling better! Just in case you aren't though, and you don't have an appetite, I'll take those cookies off your hands. Just saying, we wouldn't want them to go to waste! ;)
I think getting messy hands is half the fun :-) But yes, sticky dough can be annoying.
Hope the cookies made you feel better!
These cookies are so good. I made them just the other day. Your picture turned out way better than mine. My taste definitely better than they looked in the picture. Hope you have a terrific day.

Um those cookies look super tasty!
I hope you are feeling better!
How crazy!
I JUST happened to make these cookies on Saturday.
The dough was horribly sticky. I couldn't get it off my hands.
You're right, I think flouring your hands would be a good idea. But that might make the cookies to flour-y which is why I didn't do it. I can't stand flour-y cookies, but if you like them, that would work perfectly.
I ended up whipping out my cookie dough dropper. It's like an ice cream scoop, but it holds only about a teaspoon of stuff. This seemed to work MUCH better than my hands.
